    Sheriffs in multiple Alabama counties refuse to pay for some of their jail inmates’ health care needs. The inmates are personally billed, and their bills can end up with collection agencies while they are still behind bars, wrecking their credit.

    Holy shit. Morgan County officials have signed a non-disclosure agreement with 3M that prevents them from telling the public of health risks. The Decatur City attorney asked council members to sign one, or they can't see legal docs about the ongoing lawsuit.
