This allows corporations to walk all over us. And they do. This extra money poured into the lobbyist scam to control gov't and to defend this low tax rate. We must fix this and diminish corporate power, which gives us a shot at fixing the climate.

The crucial fact missing from this post is that the taxes other nations pay cover healthcare while ours only cover a portion. Our HC costs are 8-10 pts higher than anybody else. Add those costs into the picture and our overall “burden” jumps. 1/2

That tax comparison is deceptive for another reason: Tax for all of the countries listed - except the US - includes health care. If that cost were added in, it would make the US one of the most highly taxed countries. This one includes US health care costs:pic.twitter.com/cVrw73x8t8
