Capitalism's "profit incentive" a big plus for society? No. Profits incentivized Boeing to cut planes' safety costs, VW to fake emissions tests, & tobacco companies' ads to minimize heath risks. Profit drives bad&good results. All economic systems' incentives have mixed results.

There will always be another Reagan or Trump waiting in the wings. Not to mention, those who command capital have strong powers of persuasion over the general public and the state. Regulations are too unstable.
