People get better even without an effective treatment. It can be surprisingly difficult to tell whether a treatment is effective or not. That's why controlled clinical trials are needed.

Nope, have not forgotten any of it. I cringe every time I see ME/CFS mentioned with it. Not what patients need to be associated with. We have enough problems.
