Great interview on TWiV. Have you measured the vitamin D status of your COVID patients. There have been reports showing very high incidence of vit d deficiency in severe and critical case and good vit d status in mild or asymptomatic cases.

Also, Boston homeless and US prisoners are overwhelmingly asymptomatic - high sunshine exposure? In Europe, mortality is correlated with vit D status at a country level: https://www.researchsquare.com/article/rs-21211/v1 …

Vitamin D deficiency can explain the excess mortality in people of Africa, south Asian and Middle Eastern origin in USA, Europe and UK. Mortality in sunny Africa is extremely low (3 dead in Ethiopia, pop 110M, daily flights to China, deep economic links to China).
