Great episode! I have rheumatoid arthritis and had been wondering if measles wiping the immune systems memory could have an effect on resetting my immune system to stop attacking my own body. This podcast touched on this. Do you know if there's any research in this area?

Theoretically this could occur - the virus wipes out antibody producing cells, including potentially those cells producing autoimmune antibodies causing your RA. However, you'd have to be susceptible to measles and I fear it would come at a great immunosuppressive cost.
