I turn off retweets for everyone, which effectively does the same thing. It’s actually not such a bad filter. My main gripe is Twitter forces you to do this by individual rather than make it a universal toggle setting.

Interesting, retweets are a large part of my feed. It’s an avenue to much more information for me. I follow a limited number of people who interest me and they will retweet useful and illuminating tweets and stories.

I don’t get the quote tweet hate. I always considered it a yes-and practice of spurring conversation. Perhaps I Twitter wrong?
