A lot of people are dunking on the Harvard Law prof who got duped in a romance scam. These scams are not uncommon, though most of them are not this extensive and brazen, nor conducted in person. It could never happen to you? Hmmm.... maybe, but...1/

Look at the profile of a Theranos board member or business partner. Look at the Madoff scam, investors and regulators. Smart people taken in. So lay off the poor Harvard guy and think about the sociopathic behavior of scammers, the latter is more interesting and important.

Yes, we can all be seduced into doing something not in our best interest. However, silly to dilute the particular folly of this Harvard Law professor. He willingly deceived his wife/children. Student evaluations suggest this fellow is not equipped to teach "Ethics and Reason".
