    On the other hand in some markets car2go (& moreso than its competitors) was a substitute for public transit: similar price & just slightly faster. In that sense / in those places, its disappearance could be a sign of successful public policy & the shift to "transport en commun"

    In 2010-11 I got a free car2go nearly to myself as part of pre-release testing for . Car2go's demise across N. America this month is not the death of car sharing, but does signal problems: lack of rules on developers, maybe public carshare, easy group insurance.

    I've actually also enjoyed my share of sprite-fest storms. In my past life, a highlight was seeing a sprite with my naked eyes, from a mountaintop, in 1997. Back then we mostly used image intensifiers for imaging from the ground (below are photometers).

    One catch: paying for subscriptions for (e.g.) Starlink network: payment/banking systems are subject to government scrutiny (I think that's good). maybe you will make low-speed access free in countries which prohibit subscriptions? (or low-speed free to all?)

    More history to be made tonight? These two are hoping to catch a set of rocket fairings, half an hour from now. I've watched ~40 launches live (by video) and only recently without tears of wonder and joy.... It's always amazing.
