people who complain about “cancel culture” have power and want to retain it for themselves. it’s that simple.

Elite d-bags from across the political spectrum can unite around the idea that 17 year olds suck, I guess. I bet the 17 year olds think they suck. I know I do.

the thing is though that they’re not at all politically different. they’re all socially center-right

Really don't understand why all these media elites are getting themselves in a tizzy over 17 year olds telling Grandpa he probably shouldn't call people "Orientals" or "Negroes" anymore

In my experience students take note of who listens to them and takes them seriously. Imagine being someone who thinks a 17-year-old has nothing to teach them.

I have two kids in their 20s and I would say that 90% , no 98% of the time , 17 yros do in fact say little worth thinking about

Proof yet again that pundits are not *educators.* Not only am I paid to listen to what 18yo students think, but I actually care!

These pundits apparently don't even bother to spend time around teenagers. Teens correcting grandparents about "things you're not supposed to say anymore" was old when I was a teen, and I'm old now.
