    As someone who went to law school myself, can confirm the prominence of misogynists with political aspirations.

    The relevance of Porter’s antics in his youth, in my view, lies in his being promoted & touted, even back then, as someone who would be powerful. His success was never going to be thwarted by errant behaviour ...a pattern that he’s apparently followed since.

    Kudos & deep respect to the women on tonight. Speaking out against powerful men used to kill political careers. Let’s hope the women are not pushed aside & the men actually see consequence. Old politics is no longer tenable. Character needs to matter.
