Thank you - running events right now must be incredibly difficult, especially with so much pressure to be "normal" again. I mostly hope we can do the right thing by folks here.

Also bad is that the CNCF seems to have violated its own 30-day notice about the requirement, while also removing the mention of the 30-day notice from your website.

Sounds like KubeCon EU has dropped their masking policy. KubeCon NA has this same 1 month notice clause that was ignored and removed from the EU site this week if that impacts your decision making. web.archive.org/web/2022041816

Excerpt from the KubeCon EU website on their Health and Safety policy from earlier this week: While many municipalities’ mask mandates have been lifted, at this time masks will still be required to be worn at the event. This is subject to change. Registered attendees will be notified 1 month prior to the event of any updates to our mask mandate and other on-site health & safety requirements.

You don't do friends like this. When I speak for my self, I think I also speak for many others. We've invested a lot in the CNCF and to even get to this event. Changing your stuff overnight is just an extra slap in the face.
