Redistricting reform in VA is moving forward! A big part of successful implementation is transparency. The enabling legislation to the constitutional amendment has good public data provisions - but they can be improved even further. (1/4)

Even better though, draft maps could be published regularly (even daily!), which would improve the current requirement in any of these bills. And election data could be released in advance for citizens' use, as it is in NJ's new law: the Voting Precinct Transparency Act. (3/4)
