TBF, IQ and conscientiousness are equally strong predictors of success in most jobs, activities, and relationships. Both matter a lot. Ignore either, and you ignore decades of good data.

Conscientiousness involves understanding social norms well enough not to go around bragging about IQ. It's considered pretty crass as far as I can tell; that advice doesn't seem practical to me
