Trying to understand why ppl who hate Twitter for being full of jerks don’t just curate their feed. Ideas: 1. They don’t know it’s ok to block jerks 2. They don’t know how to find good non-jerks to follow 3. They don’t really hate Twitter, it’s just fun to complain 4. Inertia ?
Blocking jerks works pretty well, but the supply of jerks is apparently limitless. That's the disheartening takeaway about human nature.

I can confirm. I have been a huge jerk on multiple occasions without realizing what I was doing. After being called out for it I try to be a lot more careful when interacting with people I don't know. I'm sad that I was muted before I could apologize, but it's my own fault.
On the bright side if anyone tried to takeover the human race it’s a pretty big pain they’d have to deal with.
still see one message from them first, and they're searching out targets by keyword and often have multiple accounts. I'm not a target for obvious reasons,or have to try hard to be, good place for me, but the abuse some women receive is awful and relentless.
