The sexual revolution has been a catastrophic failure, having wrought only disease, abortion, divorce, unwed pregnancy, and other miseries, with none of the advantages it promised. Maybe it's time to cut our losses and go back to the old way, which is the only way that works.

STIs are far down on 1950. Hard to know with abortions, since not being legal in the 1950s meant they were not recorded reliably.

You aren't mistaken. When funding for HIV/AIDS prevention & education increased, funding for STIs decreased (finite fund pool), and STI rates went up.
