I agree with the free speech part but I've read about too many scientists who were socialists and communists but believe scientific literacy keeps one from believing things that are full of shit. For that matter, a physicist can be a buffoon about biology, let alone politics...
True. This is why I avoid posting about global warming. I just don't understand the controversies well enough for my other scientific background to be relevant.
