And we do live in that culture. Not sure why everyone confuses free speech with "equal outcome of speech" (using your terminology). Just because you're free to say it doesn't mean you should or that there won't be consequences for doing so.

Because most people who glibly talk about “not freedom from consequences” are unaware how close they sound to Idi Amin proclaiming that “there is freedom of speech, but I cannot guarantee freedom after speech.”
