What Matt fails to tell you is that in DC, schools with the poorest students get more money than the schools in rich neighborhoods. An additional $2,000+ per student in DC. I should know, I ran schools here. Money isn’t the issue.

School choice is not the solution. School choice is a slogan for privatization, which has NOTHING to do with education quality. Nice try, though.

That wouldn't actually fix anything. Choice fosters stratification and the best educations would still go to the rich because they can afford to pay even more. Meanwhile inelastic demand would prop up terribly performing schools.
