My guess is this is Americans answering this, and seriously overestimating how much foreigners want to be here. The bloom is off the American rose worldwide; greedy, closed-minded, entitled, hypocritical seems to increasingly be the view since 2003.

I’d guess ~50 million in addition to normal population growth? It’d still be really expensive for people living on a dollar a day to move there. Plus, migrants often return home after making enough money; they miss their families and culture (http://www.pewhispanic.org/2015/11/19/more-mexicans-leaving-than-coming-to-the-u-s/ …).

You would hit half a billion before we became undesirable as a destination. there would be a brief outflow and then "pretty damn horrible" America would trundle around until a re forming of the country was attempted (to include sci fi violence)
