I oppose firing people for controversial views, but it's odd conservative pundits have decided the lady who celebrated Barbara Bush's death deserves the most fervent defense.

We're not defending her. We're defending free speech by a professor at a public university governed by

There's nothing wrong with simply saying she shouldn't be fired. That's the correct position. But some of the folks are acting like this is Thermopylae and implying the Right is just as much of a threat to free speech as the Left. I just don't like the sanctimony about it
