I think it’s leftists, not just partisans on both sides. Case and point, the protests against backlash to Nora Loreto’s insensitive tweet.
Twitter partisans: 'You have a right to free speech. You just have to face the consequences of your speech.' Extortion racket: 'You have a right not to pay us. You just have to accept that we'll burn your business to the ground if you exercise that right.'

No, those are not the same. There are many kinds of consequences that do not involve threat of harm to one’s person or property. Also, we want speech to have consequences.
