This isn't a Left-Right issue. It's an issue of civil discourse. There is nothing wrong with requiring your employee act maturely and not like a foul-mouthed bully.

That's an awfully sweeping generalization, especially for an academic. If you had an employee who constantly blurted out homophobic slurs, your response would be "Well done?" Requiring people to be civil isn't anti-free speech, it's maturity.

Any civility code can be misused by any administration to censor any speech it doesn't like, just by calling it 'uncivil'. How do you propose to keep that from happening?
