Firing someone from a tenured job is much worse than arresting them. It nukes their entire future livelihood.

Actually, Jane,
#1A applies to public universities; they can't fire faculty for exercizing their free speech rights. It's incredible how few people understand this.

Freedom of speech isn't freedom of consequence. If you insult a group of people they may ignore you as a consequence. If you consistently post sickening and hateful things online, then brag about your government subsidized salary and that you cant be fired, expect some backlash.

Obviously you're the one not understanding the difference. 2nd amendment doesn't allow for murder. It allows us protection from each other and from tyranny. 1st amendment protects our LEGAL right to speak. She hasn't been arrested for speaking, but she would be for threats made.

If you murder someone with that gun, you’ve abused your right to bear arms. If you verbally threaten to kill someone, you’ve abused your right to free speech. Freedoms have boundaries, and when abused, consequences.

She’s not getting arrested. Free speech is not freedom from consequences, it’s freedom from government oppression.
