Utilitarian morality is a human built system. It doesn't exist outside of humanity.
Suffering exists outside of humanity, but utilitarian morality helps to recognize it.

Sure, as a set of neurochemical processes that we collectively call suffering, it may exist. But its existence as a recognized and unique state of being, as well as the value we attach to it, does not transcend humanity.
