America is run by lawyers trained to argue. China is run by engineers trained to understand technology. I wonder which kind of training will prove most useful in a highly technological future.

Leadership in China is chosen by how well they can repeat Marxism and Maoism without sounding trite, as well as how well they cover their tracks in corruption, while bleeding the people and passing bribes upward. There is no technical engineering at all in their leadership.
