Yea. But same for Sam. Nothing can falsify his certainty that "identity politics" is what the other people are doing. Both had good, important point. But I still enjoy watching each of their filters clash.
I like that Ezra announces his updates and learning throughout the conversation, despite them still disagreeing. I like that Sam can package everything in two judo moves. I wonder if Sam agrees there can be moral panics about "moral panics." He must.
I thought we already knew that Klein was an ideologue...
Ditto for Sam. Neither talked science. Murray also seems unaware of alternative interpretations of the positive manifold in IQ tests https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/6b66/f46e5e20cfd7190d492626b586e78ad6c682.pdf … (was cited in original Vox piece). One cannot simply assume that there is such a thing as g that IQ tests measure.
Don’t see your point. This seemed a peer review of Harris. Harris just held on like a bull rider but didn’t expound and certainly didn’t expose himself any further
They are operating in different epistemologies. They aren't tuned to the same senses of "evidence"
Like all people in this camp, his beliefs cannot be falsified. Any evidence to contradict his beliefs are just further evidence of a corrupt system of oppression. Being wrong just means you're more right than ever. This is how superman died lol
Klein isn’t interested in evidence even though he pays it lip service. He did seem keen on history, lived experience & power/privilege. He said as much several times in various ways. This is a shortcut to justice that reprioritizes other ethical commitments above truth.
