There are always heartbreaking problems & conflicts in the world. Most of them are none of our business, and we're not positioned to do more good than harm. Only a few problems represent the highest and best use of our limited resources, and we should do those things. #ethics

My apologies, given today's events I figured that was the subtext. If there are so few problems we can address with positive outcomes, could I get an example of where you think our efforts should be focused?
Reduce neglected tropical diseases like malaria, provide low-cost contraception in nations with unmet needs, reduce global poverty through promoting free markets and direct cash transfers. None require overthrowing govt's.

Worthy causes, but I'd argue that a global superpower is capable of multitasking. Private endeavor will solve to A and B. C is pretty damn loaded, but I agree. I just think D has it's place and ties back to all 3. Flooring contra costs does nothing for women who have no rights.
