A fly in this ointment is the question “Is it solvable?” It fails to realize that for all intents and purposes when it comes to social situations “There are no solutions, only trade offs.” - Thomas Sowell, A Conflict of Visions.

Another fly in the ointment is the concept of what constitutes a problem. A problem is NOT “something I dislike.” A problem, rightly understood, is either a) an unmet objective or b) two or more objectives in conflict.

So before we even BEGIN to talk about solutions, first tell me, *In MEASURABLE terms,* a) the objective that is currently not being met, and 2) how will we know if/when it IS met? If you can't answer those questions then discussing solutions is a waste of time.
