I think 'emotional intelligence' is mostly general intelligence plus some of the Big Five, like agreeableness, conscientiousness, and emotional stability.

Gardner visited my school once, and my school kind of had the same approach to academics this way too It was a good school, but I wouldn't say people joined it because it was academically a superior place

Possibly Geoffrey - but the point is that intelligence (and its application) is not one-dimensional. Whether there is one general intelligence or multiple intelligences, we shouldn't let the myth of 'specialisation' dictate that we're only capable of one thing. That's true fraud.
