What is, or was, your problem? Why does it bother you so much(assuming you know)?

My problem was understanding what selection pressures shaped our unique human mental traits. Kept me up at night for years. Wrote about it in my 1994 dissertation at Stanford, and then turned it into the book 'The mating mind'. It bothered me that nobody had a good answer.
