'Problematic' pretends to mean 'open to discussion', but in practice, it's usually a euphemism for 'you said something offensive, and I'm going to shut that down, and you should be ashamed of yourself.' E.g. 'mentioning Y chromosomes in a women's studies course is problematic'.
