This is backwards. Humans should recognize the inevitable and align their values with the goal of making the transition to the descendant lifeform as smooth as possible.

Here’s a couple suggestions (and after spending time watching a few Thomas and Friends episodes): 1. Ensure that any AI development system has a finite power source that requires refuelling periodically (by us) 2. Limit the programmed intellect to that seen by the trains on T&F.

AI doesn't exist yet . . . unless we twist the term "AI" to mean "fast computers doing cool stuff that we coded them to do". Fantasy is outpacing discovery.
