Yes. We think that only the government should have guns, and then there should be adequate training and procedures to ensure those guns are used responsibly. So, that's what our position is; yes.

So, there's two questions, right? If you want to talk about whether that's constitutional, that's certainly a valid q. But, that's a separate question from whether it's good policy. Are you implicitly conceding that it would be good policy for only the police to have guns?

The position of the constitution was also pro slavery. There is an arbitrary line that has been drawn where automatic weapons ban doesn’t infringe but AR-15 ban does. Also police states exist with an armed populace. Iraq and Turkey come to mind
