At least Iain M. Banks, is better known than Iain Banks, which nobody ever reads. If they not well known in America, why is Amazon adapting the series?
All the 'Culture' science fiction novels by Iain M. Banks, especially 'Excession'. Inspiring, rowdy, funny, violent, righteous, and visionary. They're widely loved in Britain, but not well known in America.
