There's a tough tradeoff between career advice I'd give (like here) vs. nudging the culture of science towards viewpoint diversity. I have no idea how to resolve it.
Twitter is a fun platform, but it can't pay my mortgage. Free speech isn't free is you can't afford to use it.... The point of a tenured academic salary is to allow thinkers to say heterodox things without ending up homeless, tweeting from the gutter.
