Come now, there are almost never consequences, and that’s why they behave this way. How many staff have been fired for such behaviour, whether censorship, Title IX, etc?
The only thing that would help, realistically, is POTUS signing an executive order to withhold all federal funds from universities that do not fully comply with the First Amendment. Heads would roll if the money dried up.
