I'm not sure I follow... Can someone give me an example of a right we have that we're born with that the government doesn't support us to express? I'm genuinely after a clean debate and will change my views if given good, coherent arguments that I cannot refute.

If those were 'natural rights', having them mentioned in the Constitution would be superfluous.
They're detailed in the Constitution to remind the government not to violate those rights, not to remind the people that the rights exist. See the 9th and 10th amendments....

OK, I didn't know that. Thank you - that's important. However the citizen in the cartoon above is stating that he had these rights automatically, rather than they were given to him by the gov. I'm asking what rights are you born with that the gov doesn't support you express?

No such thing as 'natural' rights unless you are ready to appeal to some transcendental scheme. Those are constitutional rights rooted in the social and political theories conceived by enlightened (deist) European men. 'WE hold these truths to be self evident...'!
