The colossal ingratitude of harping on inequality when almost everything has gotten better for almost everyone for two centuries. Ask anyone in China if they'd trade lives with their grandparents....

There are two valid sides to this issue, yes things have gotten better for everyone on average but due to various authoritarian controls/rent-seeking/patents/etc we have an ultra elite with a completely unjustified share of the wealth.

We've had a rent seeking elite for thousands of years. What's new is the prosperity of their serfs.
