I don't doubt he believes in the Big 5, but it certainly doesn't sound like Peterson thinks Jungian psychoanalysis concepts are invalid or obsolete.
I think Jung had some interesting insights too, about archetypes etc. They're just not very applicable to personality psychology.

Forgive me for a foray into this, not being a psychologist myself (but a lover of and admirer of Evolutionary Psychology) - but whenever I hear people use Jungian archetypes, it certainly always seems interesting, but also extremely speculative and unfalsifiable.
