Myers Briggs has been totally supplanted by the Big Five traits in personality research. Google Scholar shows 17k publications for Myers Briggs in the last 20 years, versus about 1.1 million for Big Five.

I think that's a bit drastic. Plus, the discounting of psychology as a hard science has occurred since its inception. It's not a hard science, it's a behavioral science. Until better tools are devised (there are some), this will be the standard alongside the MMPI-2
