Serious question do you think humans can colonize other worlds and remain recognizably human? I can imagine humans giving rise to a multitude of civilizations but those systems being necessarily isolated and demanding that we become alien just to survive in them.

We'll become very different post-humans of some sort. But that's OK. As long as we have fun, stay virtuous, and protect free speech. ;)

The crazy thing is that we could end up being those aliens.

Only if we play our cards right.

"Multi-planetary civilization" is the wrong vision too, it's Star Trek/Space Opera style linear extrapolation of humans as-is just "in space." Future visions must necessarily be Transhuman/Simulation or bust. Matrix built by and for us, computronium dyson spheres, etc.

Well, future civilization should be like Iain M. Banks' 'The Culture'. So, going multi-planetary is more midgame than endgame....

“Diversity” the way the left used it is a euphemism, or a Trojan Horse, for Social Justice. Or, as Sowell calls it, Cosmic Justice.pic.twitter.com/Atx2KFm9NG

The end-game is to maximize amount of time experienced by our species (actual time is irrelevant) before entropy creates a cosmic environment unsuitable for life stability. Can be done by downloading minds into computers that slow time perception, simulating eternity. Cyberheaven
