Noam Chomsky has good advice for what to do about speakers that progressives often disagree with like @samharrisorg and @jordanbpeterson “there’s no obligation to provide a forum, but no justification for barring what we don’t like” -yes, exactly! https://twitter.com/commicapitalist/status/975371772555087873 …

Communists, Anti-fascists, and other far Left people often consider Chomsky a hero, it would be great if they followed his advice here and ignored people they found offensive. I don't care much who Chomsky thinks does or does not merit attention.

But props to Chomsky for universal grammar theory which is absolutely genius and has been a boon to evolutionary psychology and psychological nativism.

Chomsky mostly developed his ideas around the manufacturing of consent for wars when there were three major news channels. Now culture is driving media more than before. The balance of media power concentration has shifted, but keeps trying to reassert.

As long as people agree on the most important things I think it's fine. Alliances don't have to be friendships. Let the far left tear itself apart over petty differences. We don't need to do the same.
