Young people! Allow yourselves to fall in love, get married, start a family. It will be one of the most personally-rewarding adventures of your lifetime. Choose wisely & always remember that loneliness isn't meant for human consumption. No matter how much they try to glorify it.
Choosing a mate wisely is key. Their genes determine half the genes your kids will get. Read up on behavior genetics. Read @bryan_caplan 'Selfish reasons to have more kids' on how to be a happy, relaxed parent. The knowledge is out there, it's just suppressed.

Very true and something that is often overlooked when choosing a mate. Could it be that the portion of the brain that can predict the consequences of our actions is the last to form at about age 25?

Til then, parents and friends can often give good supplementary advice on mate choice. We're taught to ignore their wisdom, but isolated individuals tend to over-focus on physical attractiveness & current status rather than character and ambition.
