I agree that lives lost are a big deal, probably the biggest and it should play a big role in priorities. Just don't forget the fears and doubts of our children and young adults. Being a father of two gives me some perspective.
Also a concerned parent. I just resent the media stoking fears in kids about extremely rare events, while giving so little attention to the things vastly more likely to kill them, like driving while texting, or leaving depression untreated.

Yes, rare. Yes, media just looking for viewers and clicks to make money. But what the kids, victims, families are going through is absolutely real and they just want safe schools.
