Playing this out and ignoring ‘illegal’ ownership .. what would happen if the government started a process to let you hand in rifles during the transition period (for money) , after which , they would come and ask registered owners for them. ? 1/2

About 300 million guns in the US. Pay owners a fair rate of $1000 each to 'turn them in'. Where do you get $300 billion for this buyback?

I mean you’ve got 27 odd amendments and many laws that deal with various things including interpretation of those amendments .. can gun owners choose which laws passed they want to follow and which they don’t ? (I.e if a law is passed they AR-rifles will be taken in an amnesty)

And in the midst of those 27 odd amendments, agreed upon by 50 states when they joined the union included the 2nd. And no, the second wasn’t about muskets or hunting.

Assuming also a law change to allow it - Would the people not wanting to hand them in , in the fact of someone coming to get them if they didn’t hand it in , use the gun and shoot the people doing their job to collect them ? Or would they go for a non violent legal appeal ?

This ones simple, cause cops already do this. Institute a national buy back program and melt them down
