I wonder if persons on the high side of the Brain Excitement Inhibition Ratio (/search phrase) might actually find it pleasurable. (Epilepsy, migraines, some autisms, etc.)

By the way, the 'Meditation Room' (Chapel?) at the local ABQ university hospital has some walls like that only less so. A very quiet place. I've used it for studying. (UNMH first floor off to the right of the main entrance next to the parking garage.)
