I think we would have more marble sculptures if teachers gave students large slabs of marble instead of asking them to write papers.

Our schools are not designed to educate but indoctrinate. With our time being wasted & minds corrupted, we're not achieving anywhere near our potential.

SO - if you were the ONLY one that they had assignments with - and the only one that had massive expectations of them - I would say - hell ya. Push them BUT the truth of it is - College/University is designed to have these kids working 10 hours a day (minimum)

OVER AND ABOVE the school hours they need to spend in class AND any hours they need to spend at a job to AFFORD their education - so yeah - keep that high horse you are on. And flog/belittle your students into a state of anxiety.
