Nothing. If they think our STEM research is 'sexist', they can get us in trouble very easily. If we think their research is completely delusional nonsense, we can't do anything. There's a total power asymmetry, and it's a huge problem.

Fair points. But the hard left thinks they have History on their side. And they certainly have the administrators on their side, and the administrators control local law enforcement, who have all the guns on most campuses.

I often share this hyperbole, but I'm sure many professors value their own time more than they do the expected benefits of their guts. They fight bloody battles over angels on pens and are good at it because they ignore other issues. Think of it as practiced myopia.

Given the fact that there are so many liberal and centrist intellectuals (on these same campuses) coming out against the hard left, this all sounds like so much hyperbole. The mad right is already in Washington.

I don't agree with that. Campus radicals are annoying but it is the capitalist system itself which is the biggest danger to our future. And the right wing effectively functions to prevent us from changing it.
