      We've been overestimating AI since the 40s. Our compute power has increased by 10 or more orders of magnitude and we're only just arriving at self driving cars.

      Barring some breakthrough, we're far from a scary AI scenario, and it's equally likely that a catastrophic breakthrough could arrive out of any field in that time.
